Preventive Mediation

What is Preventive Mediation?

Preventive Mediation is the process of arming disputants with the psychological and emotional tools to work through any dispute that may arise. Rather than seeking to find a single solution to a single problem, Preventive Mediation is a proactive and engaged state of being.  Through the thoughtful and extensive study of current and potential circumstantial problems surround a dispute, preventative mediation works proactively to prepare all parties with the correct tools to resolve their problem holistically and address potential problems in the future.

Who can benefit from Preventive Mediation?

Preventive Mediation can be used at any point in a mediation process. It is especially useful when traditional mediation has proven unsuccessful.

  1. Mediate a dispute when it begins because there is less frustration built up in a new problem
  2. Settling a long running litigation and ending astronomical cost of the litigious process

Should I try Preventive Mediation?

Whether this is a new dispute or a long standing issue, Preventive Mediation relies on commitment from all parties to settle the dispute. The unique discovery process and up front preparation training aides in participants self discovery and enhances their own determination to identify the real problem in the dispute. The intent of preventive mediation is to avoid deterioration of the disputant’s platforms or alienation of community relationships. It also carefully aims to protect capital reserves and ensure that any problem that does arise doesn’t do lasting financial damage to the business entity.

The Preventive Mediation model can analyze any type of dispute, create a  proven application for road mapping out of the dispute and finding a sustainable solution.
